Ever since the Fox Engine was announced that it will be backing PES 2014 this time around, fans of the series were wondering if this might actually mean that FIFA's only true rival will outmatch it this year. Last years release of Pro Evolution Soccer 2013 saw that the series was at a final crossroad, meaning, it had been redone and redone over and over to the point to where it couldn't improve anymore.
Don't get me wrong, PES 2013 saw some splendid improvements, but once again came up second in command to EA's long time running FIFA rival. The new question this year is, now that the famous Fox Engine has taken over the series, could this mean that FIFA will finally be outdone. At least for once that is.
In order to prove that theory, Konami has decided to go all out this time around and release the new ProEvolution Soccer 2014 on the same exact date as FIFA 2014. September 24th is the official launch day for both titles and shortly after you will see who the real victor in this year's soccer challenge will be. Both games have always had certain elements the other lacked. The number of licensed teams being one of them.
You've always had fans of both arguing across the table at which one is better and for what reason. This year it seems some new arguments will be brought to light, and it'll be interesting to see how it turns out once again. Check out a quick comparison video a fan made below and you can make your own decision.
