You can still have a chance to get a copy of the Castlevania Collection, as KonamiUK still has them up for grabs

Even though it's been out a while, some are still fiddling with the idea of getting the Castlevania Collection. Why? Perhaps they might already have Mirror of Fate for the Nintendo 3DS, or might already have Lords of Shadow and don't exactly want to pay to get a demo of Lords of Shadow 2. Whatever the case, you can still have a chance right now to get a copy of the Castlevania Colletion, as Konami is still giving away both a copy of the Xbox 360 version and PS3 version of CVLOS collection.

So what does one have to do to win your desired version of it? Simple. Just do what Konami asks, and follow them on Twitter, while retweeting this tweet of theirs.

The Dracula's Tomb Premium Edition for Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 is also something I just posted about a while ago. A solid trip through the Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 demo shows only a sample of the game play and soundtrack in store

I decided to take about a half an hour today and watch through the Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 demo, as some out there are going to wait until the final release next February. Not wanting to obligate themselves to purchase the Castlevania Collection just to get a demo, here is a play through of it, which lasts for about a half hour. Tutorial in the beginning, showing how to use your character, void sword, feeding upon the blood of your enemies and so on.

Timing is critical when playing LOS2, as there won't be the constant button mashing that some games seem to play out. Some of your enemies will have shields and defenses you have to break through, and learning how to work with the new combat system and getting your timing down right is necessary to smash through them. The soundtrack to Lords of Shadow 2 is something to bark about as well, and Castlevania has always been known for its musical score. Take a listen if you care to a couple of tracks below to see how they measure up to past titles.

The launch of Castlevania: Mirror of Fate HD edition was more of a success than its 3DS counterpart it seems

How well received is the big screen version of Castlevania: Mirror of Fate HD edition? It seems after a couple of weeks spent in the living rooms of the fans that it's getting a better acceptance than its Nintendo 3DS counterpart. Back in the beginning of the year, Dave Cox of MercurySteam had stated that he had originally created Mirror of Fate in HD anyway, so the thought of bringing it to console or even PC format was already on the table. The textures, models and so fourth were done all in high resolution, and then stepped down a bit to fit on the 3DS and run more smoothly.

How about a side by side comparison of them both? Below are four images, two on top are the Nintendo 3DS version, while the two on the bottom are the new HD versions. Obviously there is a big change in the two, but one might think that it would have been better to release them at the same time on both format. A Castlevania collection set is just as well. What do you think?

The Castlevania Lords of Shadow Collection lands in store today, and you can't wait to play that awesome demo

For those who are playing Lords of Shadow for the first time, a game that launched back in 2010, you're likely stepping into the series for the first time in years. For those who have already played it, your likely purchasing it for either the expansion packs, the HD version of Mirror of Fate, or both. In either case, along with your new found Castlevania collection set, you're also getting a chance to play the demo for Lords of Shadow 2. The collection releases today in stores in both North and South America. Listed retail price, a modest $40. Not bad considering what comes with it. Let's take another look shall we?
 

• Castlevania: Lords of Shadow - Both Reverie and Resurrection packs, and all other available downloaded content. 

• Castlevania: Mirror of Fate HD - The HD version of this Nintendo 3DS game, now on the big screen.

Both Xbox 360 and PS3 now have it, along with a PC release, and digital download release. Mirror of Fate could possibly make it to the PC, according to Dave Cox, but for those of you waiting on a Lords of Shadow 2 release on PC, your day is coming as well. Another rumor regarding Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 being pushed back until February of next year has surfaced

If I had a dollar for every unconfirmed rumor that comes out these days, I'd be a millionaire it seems. Another one has just taken the stage, and this time it involves Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2. NewEgg has done the same thing as play-asia did, and posted not only a Castlevania collection on their site, but also an exact listed date for Lords of Shadow 2. The date they have set is February 17th 2014. How can that be? What kind of sorcery is this you say? That's just the thing my friend, they have it listed for that date, but Konami hasn't said anything in regards to a set date for LOS2. So if I were you, just treat this as a rumor, one that just might be true that is. The GamesCom is coming up soon, and a smorgasbord of new information always dawns from it each year. Not to mention some sweet footage to share amongst ourselves.
