Some like it hot and some sweat when the heat is on, with your own personal soundtrack in Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes

Hey, I'm not saying you should listen to Robert Palmer, but do feel free to listen to anything your heart desires as you can import your own personal music into Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes. Yes, thanks to a recent post on Twitter from none other than Hideo Kojima, you can listen to your own favorite songs, soundtracks, and such with the import option on the options screen to GZ. Kojima shows that he likes the soundtrack to Pacific Rim, a great movie I personally saw when it launched in theaters a few months ago. According to the image Kojima posted below, here is the lineup options for the screen you're seeing on his monitor.

Game Start
Mission Select
Play Records
Trial Records
BackStore
Cassette Tapes

The rest says something to the effect of "Manual" and "Options" I believe, but the sub menu under "Cassette Tapes" says "Listen to Tapes" and "Import Music". Cassette tapes and not CDs? Well, if your wondering about that, keep in mind the time period that Ground Zeroes takes place in. Back in the 70's, Disco was big, ladies wore those bell bottom jeans, and if you liked Kung Fu movies, you just might have saw Enter the Dragon. Sounds classic to me. So it looks like next spring you and I will have the option to rock or whatever your style of music while playing GZ. If Solid Snake were a real guy, I wonder what music he would listen to? Led Zeppelin?

I installed my favorite OST of "Pacific Rim" in the walkman that "GZ Snake" has and played the game with this song.

Xbox One and 360 users can relax, as you too will be getting some exclusive content for your version of Ground Zeroes

A few days ago people found out that there will be exclusive content for the PS3 and PS4 versions of Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes. Knowing that gave a bit of an upset to the Xbox One and 360 fan base, perhaps even some jealousy to boot. But those folks can relax now, as there is a pot at the end of your rainbow too. It has been confirmed that the Xbox version of GZ will in fact be getting exclusive content for it as well as Playstation, according to Spike TV's Geoff Keighley.

Since it's already known that the PS3 / PS4 version of GZ will be getting a classic Solid Snake skin based on the original Metal Gear Solid game from the PS1 years ago, what could this exclusive Xbox content be? Of that no one knows as of right now, but feel free to take a big guess if you think you might know the answer. Perhaps a skin of its own, perhaps something else related like a cameo appearance of another character or the ability to use someone else besides Snake. As soon as it gets out there, I will post about it here as always.

The Metal Gear Solid game music soundtrack sees a return of Harry Gregson-Williams to compose for the new Ground Zeroes title

We are just a short while before Tokyo Game Show takes off, where we will discover in more ways than one what Ground Zeroes is like. But there is more to Metal Gear Solid than just tactical espionage action. The video game music sound track to the series has always captivated we the fans. Whether you've enjoyed the beautiful voice of Donna Burke, or just the score of the game in general, there is one name you should get familiar with, if you haven't already. Harry Gregson-Williams has taken the Metal Gear realm up a notch with his help in the past 3 titles, MGS2: Sons of Liberty, MGS3: Snake Eater, and MGS4: Guns of the Patriots.

Unlike the "no return" of David Hayter, Harry Gregson-Williams, along with the assistance of his colleague Ludvig Forsell will be making a full return to do the soundtrack to Ground Zeroes, a must have in the MGS music department. Hopefully, with the Tokyo Game Show right around the corner, we might hear some of the games soundtrack along with some game play footage. Although it might still be too early to expect that sort of thing. The anticipation is hard to digest.

The world slows down, but you don't with a new "bullet time" element being introduced in Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes

Don't you just love being able to play a game long before it gets released? Even though it's incomplete, you still feel quite a privilege in doing it. That's the guys at 4Gamer have been able to do with the new Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes game in production. Here's how it went for them. They were caught by a guard sneaking through a garage, and after being noticed, they were introduced to a new concept being implemented this time around. Bullet time is the name, and slowing down the world, with the exception of you is the game. Korekado Yuji, the producer said this will give you the opportunity to neutralize such a threat.

In past Metal Gear games, once you saw that ! appear above the head of a guard, that was your ticket to hit the deck, or pay the price. When 4Gamer was playing through, even after being caught, Snake was still able to use Bullet time to perform a head shot and take the guard out. I'm already loving that concept. Hideo Kojima stated that even though the AI (artificial intelligence) had been toned down somewhat, the Bullet time concept will "help out" during the game. We should find out a bit more when the Tokyo Game Show takes off later this month. It's long past due another game play trailer.
