When you think about Konami, and a card based strategy game, nine times out of ten you will get a response from people in the form of Yu-Gi-Oh!. Konami hasn't stopped there at all these days, after just now releasing a card based baseball game called MLB Live Challenge, they've stepped up to the plate, so to speak, and are now working on a Star Wars game? Yes, that's likely the last thing most people would think about, since it happens to be such a big market that Konami really hasn't had all that much of a hand in as far as I can remember. So let's take a quick look at some of the features you'll be getting if you decide to go to a galaxy, far, far away.
First, the card based game includes over 230 characters from all 6 Star Wars movies, each with their own respective stats and abilities, allowing you to create your own decks to go head to head with rivals and friends in real life. Crystals can be bought in the game or by going through battles, which in turn can be used to further power up your cards. You can also take two cards and unite them together to form an all new experience.
The card based game includes video, sound effects, and music from the series, (what no voices?) to bring you closer to the action, along with questing where you fight enemies to gain extra cards and experience along the way. These are just a few of the features included in the new Star Wars card game, which by the way launches on Android and iOS systems respectively this September 4th. That's right around the corner, and the best part about it is, it's a free to play game! You can't beat that can you? As soon as a video is released, I'll post it here as always. Time to get pumped Star Wars fans.
