A great place to study up on your Konami based arcade boards, especially if you're into hardware like GX

As an arcade board collector, I personally have a fascination for the hardware the games are running on, and not just the games themselves as most folks probably do. But where are the resources these days to keep up with which hardware runs what games, and their specifications? Good question. Want a good answer?, try a site I've used for years now to get a bit of the information I've needed over and over. System 16 is a site that actually started out years ago as a site hosting the emulator called System-16 emu, an emulator that ran 16 bit arcade games made by Sega. Games that included hits like Altered Beast, Golden Axe, and even the original Shinobi! Thierry Lescot was the author, and did a fine job emulating such great games.

But these days the domain has transformed into a site that hosts an entire army of information for various arcade boards. Boards such as Namco, Sega, SNK, Taito, Capcom, and even Atari are not uncommon there. Konami is the focus for this post though, as they have just about every board listed there you can think of. This includes one of my personal favorites, the Konami GX board, which runs hit titles like Salamander 2, Sexy Parodius, Lethal Enforcers 2: Gun Fighters, and Magical Twinbee. If you've never heard of this site, or haven't visited it in a long time, I suggest you head there sometime soon as they have board spec, images, and other information on your favorite arcade games.
