Vlad Dracula has been an icon of darkness and despair for movies, stories, and even documentaries on the History channel in the past. But in the wake of all that, he has also been the icon of some really great music. Castlevania has taken that concept to new heights over the last 25 years, and done so with a classical and symphonic style all its own. Well recently, a record company by the name of GameChops, has seen fit to do yet another compilation of music soundtracks based on classic Castlevania, and has done so with an electronic, chiptunes, and jazzy feel to it. Something new to the hit series.
Jazz musician and electronic composer Joshua Morse is at the helm of the new "VLAD" album, which pays proper tribute to great tracks like Bloody Tears, and Vampire Killer. Both tunes are homage to the old Castlevania game titles "Simon's Quest" and the original Castlevania. This is Joshua's first attempt to do such great tracks, and even still he has done a fantastic job in the process.
You can now listen to, and download them for yourself, as he has a splendid website that demonstrates what he can really do with his handy work. Dracula's Curse is also among his fine tracks, and is available for your listening pleasure right now at the GameChops webpage. A link to purchase his music is there as well. Take a good listen to a few of them below right now and tell me what you think of his work.
